I didn't start this
to build a business.
I started it because
I lived the need.

My Story

From survival mode
to regulated living

My story began long before I imagined becoming a founder. I grew up watching my mother, Valerie Jean, navigate life with Multiple Sclerosis. From a young age, caregiving became part of my identity. I learned how to hold space, how to respond before reacting, how to anchor myself when everything felt chaotic.

As an adult I built a career in corporate leadership — pushing through, staying strong, keeping everything together for everyone else. But over time, burnout, ADHD, and unprocessed grief created a quiet unraveling. I was functioning, but I wasn't living. My nervous system was in survival mode and I didn't have language for it yet.

"Emotional regulation didn't just change my life. It saved it. And because of that, everything I teach is grounded in compassion and authenticity."

That personal transformation became the foundation for Jeanie Wishes — named in honor of my mother. Today I help individuals, families, schools, and workplaces move from survival mode into regulated, intentional living through somatic emotional regulation, mindful movement, journaling, and community.

Our Mission

"We inspire transformation and empowerment through mindful designs that foster self-love, confidence, and a growth mindset — helping people soften out of survival mode and build lives that feel steady, calm, and sustainable."

Breaking the Myths

Pilates is not what
you think it is. It's for you.

You don't have to be flexible to begin. You don't have to have the perfect body. You just have to have a body — and a willingness to come home to it. Let's break down what's been keeping you away.

🌬️

The myth

"Pilates is too hard for me."

Pilates meets you exactly where you are. Every movement begins with breath. We start with what your body can do — not what it can't. This is a practice, not a performance.

🦋

The myth

"It's only for fit, flexible people."

Flexibility is the result — not the requirement. Pilates is for the woman who hasn't moved intentionally in years. For the caregiver. For the executive who can't feel her body anymore. For you.

💻

The myth

"I sit at a desk all day — it's too late for me."

It's not too late — it's exactly why you need this. Pilates is medicine for the desk-bound body. Posture. Spinal decompression. Hip release. Shoulder tension. We address every place stress lives in your body.

Why It Works

The healing benefits
of mindful movement

This isn't fitness. This is medicine. Here's what intentional Pilates-based movement does for your body, your brain, and your life.

01
Nervous System Regulation

Breathwork activates your parasympathetic nervous system — your body's natural calm response. Every class is an opportunity to move out of fight-or-flight and into rest and restore.

02
Mind-Body Connection

Pilates demands focus and presence. That intentional connection between breath and movement builds the same neural pathways that support better decision-making, emotional regulation, and clarity off the mat.

03
Emotional Resilience

Movement is one of the most powerful tools for processing emotion. When you move your body with intention, you give stored stress somewhere to go — creating space for clarity, peace, and presence.

04
Community & Belonging

Healing is not a solo journey. The Jeanie Wishes community is built for women who want to move together, grow together, and remind each other: you were never meant to do this alone.

You have permission
to begin exactly as you are.

  • "You don't have to be flexible to start. Flexibility is what happens when you do."
  • "You don't have to have the perfect body. You just have to have a body."
  • "This is not a performance. It's a practice."
  • "Slowing down is not falling behind. It is the beginning of everything."
  • "We move with our bodies — not against them."
